When you use H Memorials, we collect only what we need to fulfill your order and provide you with the best possible service.

Information you provide

• Contact details — name, email address, and shipping address (to fulfill and deliver your order)
• Memorial details — the name, dates, and quotes you enter into the design editor (to create your poster)
• Photos — images you upload of your loved one (to place on your memorial poster)
• Account information — email address if you choose to create an account (optional — guest checkout is always available)

Information collected automatically

• Device and browser information — browser type, screen size, operating system (to ensure our editor works properly on your device)
• Usage information — pages visited and features used (to improve our service — we do not track you across other websites)

Information we do not collect

• Full payment card numbers (handled entirely by Stripe)
• Social Security numbers or government IDs
• Health or medical information

How We Use Your Information

We use your information for exactly what you'd expect:

• Order fulfillment — printing and shipping your poster
• Design creation — placing your photos, names, and dates on your chosen template
• Communication — order confirmations, shipping updates, and responses to your questions
• Account management — if you create an account, saving your designs and order history
• Service improvement — understanding how people use our editor so we can make it easier

We will never:

• Sell your personal information to anyone
• Use your photos for marketing without your explicit permission
• Send you unsolicited marketing emails (we only email about your orders and account)
• Share your information with unrelated third parties

Your Photos — Our Highest Protection

We understand that the photos you share with us are deeply personal. They are images of someone you love, and we treat them with the highest level of care and respect.

• Storage — Photos are stored securely on encrypted cloud storage with encryption at rest and in transit
• Access — Only the systems that produce your poster access your photos. Our staff accesses photos only if you request our “Design It For Me” service or report a quality issue
• Retention — We retain your photos for 90 days after order delivery to handle any reprints or quality issues. After that, they are permanently deleted unless you have a saved design in your account
• Deletion — You can request immediate deletion of your photos at any time by contacting us. We will confirm deletion within 48 hours
• Print partners — Our print partners receive only the final print-ready file needed to produce your poster. They are contractually required to delete all files within 30 days of printing

Third-Party Services

We work with a small number of trusted partners to deliver our service. Here is who they are and what they do:

• Stripe — Processes payments securely. Your card information is handled entirely by Stripe and never touches our servers. Stripe's privacy policy
• Cloud storage — Secure file storage for your photos and print-ready files, encrypted at rest and in transit
• Email delivery — Transactional emails only (order confirmations, sign-in links). We do not send marketing emails through this service
• Print fulfillment partners — Receive only the final print file needed to produce and ship your order

We do not use third-party advertising networks or social media tracking pixels.

How We Protect Your Data

• All data transmitted between your browser and our servers is encrypted with TLS (HTTPS)
• Photos and files are stored with encryption at rest
• Payment data is processed by Stripe and never stored on our servers
• Staff access is limited to what is necessary for order fulfillment and support
• Database access is restricted and monitored

Your Rights

You have the right to:

• Access — Request a copy of the personal information we hold about you
• Correction — Ask us to correct any inaccurate information
• Deletion — Ask us to delete your data, including photos, account, and order history
• Opt-out — Unsubscribe from any communications at any time
• Data portability — Receive your data in a standard, machine-readable format
