What we promise every family
A family should never have to wonder what a memorial site will do with their mother's name, photos or guests. These are the rules we run H Memorials by. Updated November 2, 2026.
The page is free, and it stays free
No charge to make a memorial page or to keep it up. No ads, no renewal fees and no guest book that expires.
We never post a page without the family
Pages are made by the family or by someone helping them with their permission. We never copy obituaries from funeral homes, newspapers or other sites. If someone made a page for your family member without asking, tap "Is this your family?" on the page and we will help.
The family decides what shows
Memories wait for the family's approval. Guest photos pass a safety check first, and the family can approve each one instead. The family can take down anything, put it back, remove everything from one guest, or pause new memories. Anyone can report a memory or a photo, and one reported by 3 people comes down on its own until the family decides.
Family photos stay private
Family photos are kept out of image search and large search previews, and we never use your photos or words to train AI.
No sales the family didn't choose
If the family asks for no flowers, the page shows no flower shop. When something does cost money, the price is shown before anyone pays.
Guest addresses are for the family only
A guest who leaves a mailing address for a thank-you card chooses to. Addresses are encrypted, only the people managing the page see them, and they are deleted a year after the service.
If we ever close
We would give at least 90 days notice and a way to download everything on your page: the story, the photos and the memories.
Honest guides
Our guides give the answer first, show the date they were last updated and name their sources. We fix mistakes when we find them or when you tell us. How we use AI is written down on our AI commitment.
